Exclusive World Premiere of Timberlake’s New Eight-Minute Music Video Will Be Featured in the One-Hour Special

March 13, 2013 (Burbank, CA) ─ A new one-hour special, “TARGET PRESENTS THE IHEARTRADIO ALBUM RELEASE PARTY WITH JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE,” featuring performances and interviews with the musical superstar, will air on Tuesday, March 19, (8:00-9:00pm ET) on The CW.  An encore of the special will air Friday, March 22 (8:00-9:00pm ET).

Timberlake’s live performance at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles will be filmed during a release party for his new album, “20/20 Experience,” on March 18.  The party will include a live, nationwide 30-minute on-air radio special, where Timberlake will discuss the story behind the making of his new album and perform with his band.

The performance and interviews will be recorded to air the following evening on The CW, and will include an exclusive eight-minute world premiere of Timberlake’s new music video.

THE CW LAUNCHES NEW FULL-EPISODE MOBILE APP FOR IPAD, IPHONE AND ANDROID PLATFORMS

The All-New CW App Features Full Episodes of The Network’s Primetime Series as well as Social Network Connectivity through Twitter and Facebook

The CW Moves to Next Day Full-Episode Streaming for Both Online and Mobile

March 15, 2012 (Burbank, CA) – The CW Network today announced the launch of an all-new mobile app for iPad, iPhone and Android platforms that offers full-episode streaming of The CW’s primetime series. Available for free download today on CWTV.com, The CW app also includes additional features such as photos, previews and social media integrations enabling fans to share what they’re watching via Facebook and Twitter.

“With the launch of The CW’s new mobile app and moving to next day streaming on all platforms, we remain in perfect sync with our young audience who want to watch and connect with our shows whenever and wherever they are,” said Rick Haskins, Executive Vice President, Marketing & Digital Programs, The CW. “Both of these steps are an important part of our overall strategy and on-going evolution as we remain the network of the digital generation.”

Full episodes of The CW’s primetime shows will now be available on the app and on CWTV.com at approximately 6:00 a.m. ET on the morning after broadcast on the network. As on CWTV.com, the most recently aired five episodes are available on the app, and it is fully advertiser-supported.

The CW App features social media capabilities, allowing users to share photos and video links with their friends via Facebook and Twitter, and also connects fans to The CW’s Facebook pages as well as the Twitter feeds for The CW, its stars and producers. The app also includes video interviews, behind-the-scenes looks and previews of The CW’s primetime series. Users can also view a schedule of upcoming episodes and set reminders for when they can watch their favorite shows live.

The CW App is available for free download on CWTV.com and iTunes for iPhone and iPad with iOS 4.0 or higher. For user with Android handsets and tablets with Flash 10.0, the app is available for free on CWTV.com.

In-Season Episodes of The CW’s Drama and Reality Series To Stream on Hulu and Hulu Plus

The CW Television Network, a joint venture of CBS Corporation and Warner Bros. Entertainment, announced today a five-year licensing agreement with Hulu for the rights to stream in-season episodes of The CW’s programming on the Hulu Plus subscription service and the free, ad-supported Hulu service.

With this agreement, Hulu Plus will be the only online subscription service to carry in-season episodes of The CW’s drama and reality series, with the five most recent episodes of each show available to subscribers the next day after broadcast. Users of the free, ad-supported Hulu service will be able to watch five episodes of current season programming eight days after airing on The CW.

Available later this year, programming on Hulu and Hulu Plus will begin with the nine series on The CW’s Fall 2011 schedule, including new series RINGER, HART OF DIXIE, and THE SECRET CIRCLE, as well as returning hits THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, GOSSIP GIRL, SUPERNATURAL, NIKITA, 90210 and AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

The new agreement with Hulu delivers more ways for viewers to catch up with The CW’s serialized dramas and reality series, and provides the network with valuable off-air promotion and marketing to grow its brand, as well as increase awareness for its series. The CW’s content can also be made available online through authenticated cable providers.

The CW, which last year introduced an innovative digital convergence strategy for broadcast and online ad sales, will continue to present its programming on cwtv.com with a full complement of advertising, prior to streaming on the free Hulu service.

The CW Network announced today midseason plans for the 2011-2012 season, including the final 13 episodes of ONE TREE HILL, the series premiere of REMODELED and the return of original episodes across the schedule, starting Thursday, January 5 with THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and THE SECRET CIRCLE.

The final season of ONE TREE HILL premieres Wednesday, January 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET). In its final 13 episodes, how will Brooke and Julian juggle parenthood and their very young careers? With Nathan traveling more as an agent, how will Haley’s life change with a second child, an increasingly independent Jamie, and a busy café to run? Is a wedding in store for Quinn and Clay, or for Mouth and Millicent? And what’s to become of Alex and Chase and their burgeoning romance? The series stars Sophia Bush as Brooke Davis, Bethany Joy Galeotti as Haley James Scott, James Lafferty as Nathan Scott, Robert Buckley as Clay Evans, Austin Nichols as Julian Baker, Shantel VanSanten as Quinn James and Jackson Brundage as Jamie Scott. ONE TREE HILL was created by Mark Schwahn and is executive produced by Schwahn, Joe Davola, Greg Prange, Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins. New reality series REMODELED, premiering Wednesday, January 18, (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), centers around modeling industry veteran Paul Fisher as he tries to bring together hundreds of small agencies around the world in a new venture called The Network. The Network will give Paul the leverage to change the industry from the inside out. He has two missions: to make sure agents in small towns no longer get screwed, and to empower models to take control of their careers and lead healthier lives. The CW’s Tuesday night dramas return with original episodes Tuesday, January 10 with 90210 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), followed by RINGER (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET).

The CW Network has set its new midseason schedule, featuring brand new episodes of its scripted series and several strategic moves to bolster new nights and new time periods.

New episodes of freshman sensation GOSSIP GIRL return to The CW schedule beginning Monday, April 21 (8:00-9:00p.m. ET). On April 7, ONE TREE HILL moves to its new night and time on Mondays (9:00-10:00p.m. ET), following GOSSIP GIRL and creating a powerful night of drama for The CW.

With ONE TREE HILL moving to Mondays in April, the climactic final original episodes of PUSSYCAT DOLLS PRESENTS: GIRLICIOUS will air on Wednesdays starting April 9 (9:00-10:00p.m. ET), following AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

Through the month of March, original episodes of The CW’s REAPER will follow all-new episodes of SMALLVILLE. On March 25, REAPER returns to Tuesdays (9:00-10:00p.m. ET) following the newest edition of The CW’s hit reality series BEAUTY AND THE GEEK, which premieres March 11 (8:00-9:00p.m. ET).

SUPERNATURAL returns to The CW’s Thursday line-up (9:00-10:00p.m. ET) on April 3.
