Eight Men Will Compete with Eight Women for the Title

Career-Launching Prize Package Will Include NYLON Magazine, GUESS and Next Model Management

Cycle 20 of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL hosted by Tyra Banks, returns with new prizes and new competition – men!  The first-ever “Guys and Girls” edition will begin airing Summer 2013.

Eight men and eight women will live under one roof and battle it out to earn the prestigious title of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL. This cycle will explore the similarities and differences that male and female models face in the pursuit of their careers, bringing on experts and celebrities to mentor and challenge them each week.  There will be more than a little opportunity for rivalry, flirtation and romance.

The model hopefuls will compete for a career-launching prize package that includes new prize suppliers Next Model Management and GUESS, as well as NYLON magazine.  The winner will receive prizes including: $100,000 national ad campaign with GUESS, whose advertising campaigns have launched many modeling careers; a fashion feature in NYLON magazine, as well as a modeling contract with Next Model Management.

In addition to the panel of judges, which includes Banks, fashion public relations maven Kelly Cutrone and former boxer and international male supermodel Rob Evans, the public will again be able to have a say in who stays and who goes in the competition.   Famed stylist Johnny Wujek returns as photo shoot creative consultant and top fashion blogger Bryanboy will return as the social media correspondent, mentoring the models and highlighting the scores, comments and video messages from the viewers that will be revealed in the show during judging.

Fans will again have numerous opportunities each week to vote online and via mobile at http://cwtv.com/thecw/antmvoting to choose their favorite contestants based on photo shoots taken during production.  Voting begins TODAY, Thursday, February 21, and continues with the following voting dates:  February 24, February 28, March 3, March 7, March 10, March 14, March 17, March 23, March 26, March 29 and April 3.  Some of the guys and girls who have already been eliminated will have the opportunity to return to the competition via votes on their photo shoot pictures, which will allow the audience the chance to save their favorite model.  This cycle, fans will also have the opportunity to automatically enter a contest when they leave video comments, during the voting, for a chance to win* prizes from some of the AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL partners.

The CW’s Hit Drama is the Most Social Show on Broadcast Television for the Second Time in Four Weeks, says @Trendrr @CW_Network #TVD

The CW’s hit series THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – from Warner Bros. Television – ranked as the most social primetime TV series on broadcast television for the second time in four weeks, during the week of February 11-17, 2013, according to data released today by Trendrr.tv.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES saw its social activity across Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle jump 19% versus the previous week, delivering 654,000 social interactions, its second-best weekly activity of the season.  THE VAMPIRE DIARIES had the most Twitter mentions and the most GetGlue check-ins in broadcast primetime last week. It had 14% more social interactions than its closest broadcast competitor, The Simpsons, and 54% more social interactions than American Idol for the week.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES airs Thursday nights, 8:00-9:00 p.m. on The CW.

“Arrow,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Supernatural” to Return Next Season

The CW Network has given early pickups to three of its hit series for next season, including freshman hit ARROW, its top-rated drama THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and fan favorite SUPERNATURAL, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW.  All three shows will return in Fall 2013.

“We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit ARROW and fan favorite SUPERNATURAL on Wednesday night, and the continued success of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that,” said Pedowitz. “Not only do ARROW, SUPERNATURAL, and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season.”

One of the true breakout hits of the season, ARROW posted The CW’s best series premiere since 2009 and currently stands as the network’s most watched show (4.3mil).  Heading into its fifth season next fall, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES remains The CW’s highest rated series in target demographics, including adults 18-34 and women 18-34. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES also continues to be one of the network’s top performing shows digitally and socially; in fact, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES recently topped Trendrr’s list as network TV’s #1 social program for the week of January 21–27

The Winchester brothers of SUPERNATURAL will continue to fight the forces of evil for a ninth season.  Since being paired with ARROW on Wednesday this year, SUPERNATURAL has seen a dramatic uptick in its ratings from last season, rising 15% among total viewers, 10% in adults 18-34 and 18% in adults 18-49.

OH SIT!, The CW’s amped-up, fast-paced version of musical chairs, will return for a second season Monday, April 15, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET.  THE CARRIE DIARIES will conclude its 13-episode first season the previous week, Monday, April 8, 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET.

OH SIT! is a fun, high-stakes, high-octane musical chairs competition, in which 12 thrill-seeking daredevils race head-to-head through five physically demanding, chair-splitting obstacle course-style eliminations as they each compete to claim a chair – all to the sounds of a new live house band.  At the end of the hour, only one contestant will be left sitting triumphant to seize the cash prize and the title of OH SIT! champion.  This season, the show will feature new obstacles and bridges, water rounds, mechanical rounds and slick zones.

And to get your sitting muscles in shape in time for the premiere, now fans can download the OH SIT! free game app on iTunes for iOS phones and tablets.  In the OH SIT! game, you’ll dance, jump, bounce and battle your way up five tiers of the 3D OH SIT! tower, through obstacles including platforms, springs, spikes and cannons – it’s King of the Mountain and Musical Chairs rolled into one.  Collect virtual money as you race up the face of a daunting tower in a challenging, competitive, hilarious race to claim your chair at the top.
