In a surprise twist on last night’s episode of BEAUTY AND THE GEEK viewers learned that for the first time in the history of the series, they will be able to vote for the winning team of the show’s $250,000 grand prize! The season finale of BEAUTY AND THE GEEK, in which America’s winner is revealed, will air on Tuesday, December 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) on The CW.

Beauty and the GeekIn a plea to America, finalists Sam and Nicole told viewers they deserve to win because they were the most unique couple in the house and taught each other how to live and learn. Jasmine and Dave feel they deserve to win because they overcame their first bad impressions of each other to bring out one another’s strong points.

INTERNATIONAL SUPERMODEL PAULINA PORIZKOVA JOINS THE CW’S “AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL” AS A JUDGE FOR CYCLE 10

International supermodel Paulina Porizkova has joined The CW’s AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL cycle 10 as a new panel judge, where she will conduct regular weekly evaluations of top model participants.

“We are thrilled to have Paulina as a part of this cycle’s judging panel. The show and participants will benefit a great deal from her vast modeling knowledge and expertise,” said Ken Mok, Executive Producer of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

Twiggy, who has been a part of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL since cycle 5 is leaving due to scheduling conflicts. “We would like to thank Twiggy for her great contributions to the show. Having an icon like Twiggy lend us her considerable expertise has elevated our show to a whole new level. We wish her well in her endeavors and hope to collaborate with her in future cycles of ANTM as well as other projects.”

Porizkova was chosen twice by People magazine as one of the Fifty Most Beautiful People in the world, in 1990 and 1992. Harper’s Bazaar magazine named her one of its ten most beautiful women in 1992. American Photo magazine in its first issue declared her to be the model of the 1980s. Porizkova has graced the covers of hundreds of magazines worldwide for more than two decades, including appearances on Vogue, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Self, Cosmopolitan and Glamour. She began modeling at the age of 15 and quickly rose to the top of her profession.

In addition, Porizkova has a long list of film credits including “Her Alibi,” opposite Tom Selleck, “Arizona Dreams,” opposite Johnny Depp, “People I Know,” opposite Al Pacino, “Second Best,” with Joe Pantoliano, the independent comedy “Knots,” with John Stamos, and many others. Porizkova was recently seen on “Dancing With The Stars” and wrote a novel entitled “A Model Summer” for Hyperion books. Porizkova is represented by management company One Entertainment and attorney Peter Thall.

The judging panel for cycle 10 will again be led by Tyra Banks and will also include runway expert J. Alexander and renowned fashion photographer Nigel Barker. As always, special guest judges will appear to critique within his or her area of expertise.

Participants live together and ferociously vie for the grand prize, competing in a highly accelerated modeling boot camp. The participants’ abilities are tested each week as they strive to master the runway and fashion photo shoots, perfect publicity skills and learn the business aspects of becoming a supermodel, all under 24-hour-a-day surveillance of the AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL cameras.

The CW Network’s outrageous new one-hour mother/daughter competition, CROWNED: THE MOTHER OF ALL PAGEANTS, premieres Wednesday, December 12 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), following the season finale of the hit series AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL. The remaining seven episodes of the beauty pageant/reality show will then take over the 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET slot beginning Wednesday, December 19, followed by the hit drama GOSSIP GIRL, and continuing through the season finale on January 30. CROWNED: THE MOTHER OF ALL PAGEANTS explores one of the most emotional and volatile relationships as mothers and daughters (ages 18 and over) from all walks of life compete together – and against other mother/daughter teams – in order to win. Faced with challenges that focus on preparing them for the pageant show finale, the women will have to brand a `style’ for their mother/daughter team via clothing and swimwear, create ways of expressing a point of view about issues in the world, and practice for the big pageant dance number. Not only do good looks, talent and a penchant for world peace have to run in the family, each team must also have patience, teamwork and a healthy sense of humor. In the end, one mother/daughter team will be “crowned” the winner and will receive a valuable prize package, including a $100,000 cash award, and, of course, a fabulous pair of tiaras.

THE CW’S GOSSIP GIRL IS CREATING A BUZZ IN SECOND LIFE

Everyone is talking about Second Life’s complement to the CW Network’s new hit television show GOSSIP GIRL Fans of the show, which follows the lives of privileged prep school teens on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, have been pouring into the virtual world through the network’s website since the region opened in September.

Built by Warner Brothers and the CW Network in partnership with Millions of Us in partnership with Warner Brothers and the CW Network, the region is a beautiful build-out of seven square blocks of the Upper East Side, complete with show sets, stores, and other iconic landmarks. Unique to the sim is that viewers without Second Life accounts can sign up directly through the CW Network’s website and receive a special GOSSIP GIRL last name.

When new residents arrive, they are greeted and assisted by agents of Metaverse Mod Squad. Easily identified in their retro black coats and white boots, these agents keep a watchful eye out for disruptions, moderate the burgeoning GOSSIP GIRL group, and even host rooftop parties and fashion shows.Second Life Halloween

The region’s cornerstone activity involves the Gossip Mobile!, a PDA-shaped heads-up display that enhances the Second Life experience. When worn, the HUD detects other avatars in the vicinity and allows the wearer to gossip about them and rate them with style and cool points.
